Christina Reif, B.S.

Frozen Zoo® Registrar

Christina Reif serves San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance as the Frozen Zoo® Registrar in Biodiversity Banking. In this role, she is responsible for record keeping and other aspects of biomaterial collection management. Christina also serves as SDZWA’s Biomaterials Coordinator and is instrumental in moving internal and external requests for biological samples through the tracking and approval process. She also assists in international movement of biomaterials.

Prior to her current role, Christina served on the Administration Team at SDWA Science, at the Safari Park as a Visitor Assistance Officer, and in the Merchandising department.

Christina earned her bachelor’s degree in Organismic Biology, Ecology, and Evolution from the University of California, Los Angeles. She has always had a love for wildlife and a passion for conservation and is grateful to work for an organization that is a leader in these areas. Christina is excited to be in a role where she is helping to further promote the use of the Frozen Zoo® for conservation projects around the globe.
