Set Sokol, D.V.M.
Dr. Set Sokol serves San Diego Zoo Global as the Steel Endowed Pathology Fellow in Disease Investigations. As a pathology trainee, he conducts diagnostic disease investigations on collection animals and local wildlife under the tutelage of the zoo’s pathologists. Set is currently preparing to sit for the certifying examination to become a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists.
Set earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology and Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Cornell University. He stayed at Cornell to complete his first two years of residency training in anatomic pathology and continues his training in Disease Investigations.
