Lynne Neibaur

Senior Research Associate

Lynne Neibaur serves the San Diego Zoo Global as a Senior Research Associate in Recovery Ecology. She is based at the Keauhou Bird Conservation Center, where she has worked with Hawaiian forest birds for the past 16 years. Her work specializes in methods for artificial incubation of eggs and rearing of chicks. She has worked on a variety of species, including our newly established breeding program for the 'akikiki and akeke'e, two diminutive species native to Kauai.

Lynne earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from San Jose State University, with an emphasis in wildlife zoology. She has many years of experience working in wildlife rehabilitation and has spent ten years conducting fieldwork, mostly with raptors. Additionally, she has studied veterinary technology.
