Christina Rogers, M.S.

Species Recovery Program Manager

Christina Rogers serves San Diego Zoo Global as a Species Recovery Program Manager.  In this role, she concentrates on the Northern White Rhino Initiative from a project management perspective with the goal of restoring a sustainable population at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park and eventually the wild.

Christina facilitates strategic planning and organizational communication among the various departments at San Diego Zoo Global and with external organizations to help ensure unity of efforts and priority de-confliction.  She manages budget and schedule requirements and helps to ensure legal compliance of project goals and activities.  Above all, she focuses on team integration and problem resolution to so that all efforts are optimized.

Christina earned her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy and her master’s degree in Management Information Systems from National University.  Additionally, she is Project Management Professional and Lean Practitioner certified.  She received the Emmy Noether Award for Women in Mathematics, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.
